Emergency crews were called to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Friday.

Members of the Estevan Police Service, along with Estevan Emergency Medical Services and the Estevan Fire Rescue Service, attended to the collision at a business in north Estevan.

A female was examined by EMS and released when no injuries were detected. No damage to the vehicle occurred either. The matter is under investigation.

Also on Friday, police received a parking complaint in northwest Estevan. Members attended and determined the vehicle was parked legally and no further action was required.

The EPS received a report of a theft of a coat from a downtown store. The matter is still under investigation.

Officers were called to a residence in the 500-block of Second Street, in which a 17-year-old male youth was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine. He was released for court in October.

Members attended to a local hotel for a report of an assault. A 22-year-old male from the Willow Park Greens home park was located a short time later and will appear in Estevan Provincial Court to answer to a single count of assault under the Criminal Code.

As a result of a complaint of a male attempting to enter a residence in the 1200-block of Seventh Street, an 18-year-old man from Bromhead was arrested for public intoxication and lodged in cells until sober.

Police received multiple reports of mischief to vehicles on Wednesday. Most of the vehicles that were damaged were located along Henry Street. Police are investigating and believe the vandalism was caused by subjects that left a house party near the intersection of Bannatyne Avenue and Henry Street in the early morning hours Wednesday. 

Police were also notified that a laptop computer was stolen from the residence where the party occurred. Investigators are hoping that the suspect(s) make the right decision and come forward to return the computer. Police attended to a disturbance in the east end of the city Tuesday and spoke to the parties involved. One of the parties arranged for an alternate place to stay for a few days.

Officers attended to a mischief to property complaint in a local commercial residence. One of the tenants had kicked the door in to his suite as he was locked out. Further investigation will take place to determine possible charges.
