EPS limiting public access to its building

The Estevan Police Service (EPS) announced March 18 it will be limiting access to its building as part of the ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Estevan Police Service (EPS) announced March 18 it will be limiting access to its building as part of the ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The pubic is encouraged to call the EPS main line at 306-634-4767 for any inquiries or non-emergent situations. People are not to use the EPS contact email on its website for reporting purposes as it is not monitored on a regular basis.

For emergencies please dial 911.

Limited access to the EPS main lobby remains available however those who do attend will be required to use an intercom system to establish contact with communications staff.  They will be required to answer a list of screening questions prior to gaining access to the main lobby.

In other recent police news, officers arrested an Estevan man who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. While searching the subject he was found in possession of methamphetamine. He was released later in the morning with a future court date to answer to all his charges.

Police also arrested a Bienfait man for assault and breaching conditions of no contact. He was held in custody to be taken to court in the morning.
