EPS members arrest an impaired driver on Thursday

Members of the Estevan Police Service apprehended an impaired driver on Thursday. A traffic stop was made during the evening hours in south Estevan, which resulted in a 41-year-old Estevan woman being arrested and charged with impaired driving.

Members of the Estevan Police Service apprehended an impaired driver on Thursday.

A traffic stop was made during the evening hours in south Estevan, which resulted in a 41-year-old Estevan woman being arrested and charged with impaired driving. She will make her first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on Aug. 16 at 9:30 a.m.

Also on Thursday, police attended to a disturbance in east Estevan. Police spoke to all parties involved and mediated a resolution for the time being.

Police attended a report of failing to remain at the scene of an accident at a local public parking lot. There were no injuries to any individuals. The property damage is still under investigation.

Officers received a Report Impaired Drivers complaint early in the day on June 16. Police located the vehicle and determined the driver was not impaired but was having vehicle issues. The driver was issued a warning ticket for failing to produce a driver’s licence upon demand of a peace officer.

Police received a complaint in relation to an individual being scammed when attempting to obtain credit online. The matter is still under investigation.
