Members of the Estevan Police Service arrested a person twice on the same day on April 21.

According to information released on April 23, police arrested and subsequently released on conditions the 24-year-old man in relation to an uttering threats allegation.

A short time after his release he was arrested again at a north end business for causing a disturbance. He was lodged in cells and charged with causing a disturbance under the Criminal Code, and was subsequently released on conditions in front of a Justice of the Peace.

Police also attended to a residence in the south end of the city to keep the peace while an individual retrieved property from the residence. The matter was resolved without further incident.

Police attended to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Fifth Street and Souris Avenue South. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, however no injuries resulted from the collision.  The driver of the eastbound vehicle on Fifth Street failed to yield to the northbound vehicle on Souris Avenue and was issued a summary offence ticket under the Traffic Safety Act.

A 32-year-old Estevan woman was arrested and charged with breaching the conditions of her release order following a traffic stop in central Estevan. She is scheduled to make her first court appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on May 17.

A traffic stop in east central Estevan resulted in a 43-year-old Estevan man having his driver’s licence suspended for three days and his vehicle being impounded for three days following a failed roadside drug screening test.
