EPS releases names of two alleged impaired drivers from Friday night

The Estevan Police Service has released the names of the two people arrested for impaired driving on Friday night.

The Estevan Police Service has released the names of the two people arrested for impaired driving on Friday night.

Jordan Lucas Nelson, a 22-year-old man from Turtleford, was charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08.

Jacqueline Tracy Merasty, a 49-year-old woman from the Muscowpetung First Nation in Saskatchewan, was charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08.

The charges have not be proven in court.

The EPS performed high-visibility check stops on Friday and Saturday night, and checked approximately 750 motorists each night.
