Members of the Estevan Police Service made an arrest for impaired driving during Monday’s night shift.

As a result of a traffic stop in the Valley Street and Souris Avenue South area, a 30-year-old man from Estevan was arrested and charged with driving while impaired and driving while over .08.

He was later released and will make his first court appearance in May. His driver’s licence has been suspended indefinitely and his vehicle was seized.

Also on Monday night, members conducted curfew checks on persons on judicial release conditions. All were in compliance with these conditions.

Police received a report of an attempt fraud during Monday’s day shift. The complainant received a call, asking to confirm or dispute a charge to their credit card. No information was exchanged.

Members received a second report of attempt fraud. An individual received a call, saying they had won a prize and there was request for information. No information was exchanged.

Police received a driving complaint in relation to a commercial semi-trailer unit being operated by a driver using his cellular telephone. The police were unable to locate the described suspect vehicle.

Officers received a report of a suspicious male near a downtown business. Police attended but could not locate the individual.
