The Estevan Police Service is investigating a possible theft that occurred at a financial institution. An Estevan male attended a local bank during the Feb. 11 day shift and made a withdrawal from an ATM.

The Estevan Police Service is investigating a possible theft that occurred at a financial institution.

An Estevan male attended a local bank during the Feb. 11 day shift and made a withdrawal from an ATM. The man forgot to take his money as he had walked away, only taking his debit card.

Police are investigating and trying to obtain video footage from the financial institution. The matter remains under investigation.

In other recent police news, officers responded to a noisy party complaint in the 1400-block of Nicholson Road. The homeowner was warned of the bylaw and no further police involvement was needed.

Members responded to a burglar alarm in the 100-block of Kensington Avenue. The business was found to be secure.

Officers assisted a motorist with his vehicle as it stalled on the street during the Feb. 11 night shift. Police were able to help him push it off onto a parking lot.

Police located a vehicle during the Feb. 12 night shift that went off the road surface and into a ditch. Arrangements were made to have someone attend and assist the driver in getting the vehicle out of the ditch.

Several conditions checks were performed on individuals living in the city. Nobody was found to be breaching their conditions.

Officers attended to a two-vehicle collision in central Estevan during the Feb. 13 day shift. One vehicle required towing. No injuries were reported, and nobody has been charged at this time.

A Canada Revenue Agency scam was reported. A voicemail was left for a resident, stating that the person was owing taxes and a warrant for his arrest would be drawn up. There was no information shared nor was the callback number contacted by the person who received the message.

An assault was reported to have occurred and the matter is still under investigation.
