Estevan police make arrest for assault; investigate other incidents

One person is facing charges following an assault that occurred Tuesday.

The Estevan Police Service said it has been investigating the incident, and statements and evidence were gathered. Police said Wednesday an Estevan man will face a charge of assault causing bodily harm. His court date has yet to be set.

Police received a report Wednesday of a theft over $5,000 from an elderly female. The matter is still under investigation at this time.

Following a complaint, members are looking into a complaint of uttering threats to cause damage to property and to do bodily harm.

Police received a complaint of a male causing a disturbance at a local business. The male left prior to officers arriving and the matter is being looked into further.

Officers received several complaints Thursday of motor vehicles collisions due to the weather. One driver was charged for failing to comply with his licence restrictions.
