Estevan woman arrested for impaired driving

Members of the Estevan Police Service made three arrests and responded to several calls. On Jan. 20, police received a call about a possible impaired driver. Members were able to locate the vehicle and the driver was tested for alcohol consumption.

Members of the Estevan Police Service made three arrests and responded to several calls.

On Jan. 20, police received a call about a possible impaired driver. Members were able to locate the vehicle and the driver was tested for alcohol consumption. She failed a roadside screening test and was arrested for impaired driving. The 22-year-old Estevan woman will appear in court in early March to answer to the charge.

The same day police arrested a 25-year-old Stoughton woman for being intoxicated in public. She has been on conditions of release with a condition not to possess or consume alcohol. She has subsequently been charged for breaching the conditions.

Police also received a report of a feral cat that had bitten an individual twice. The cat was located and caught by police and placed on quarantine by Public Health.

EPS members attended to a two-vehicle accident on 13th Avenue at Seventh Street. No injuries were reported. One of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene of the accident.

On Jan. 18, police responded to a local hotel after a complaint of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. A 29-year-old woman from Saskatoon was arrested and lodged in cells until sober. Her companion was evicted as per the wishes of the hotel staff and escorted from the property.

Members also attended to a noise complaint in the 400-block of Willow Bay. A male was warned of the bylaw.
