Firearms incident leads to arrest

One person has been arrested and is facing several charges after a firearms incident on the weekend.

During the early morning hours of June 23, the Estevan RCMP responded to a compliant in Frobisher.

The local detachment was assisted by RCMP members from the Carlyle RCMP and the traffic services unit.

During the investigation one male was taken into custody and firearms were seized.

The male was held in custody for court on Monday, and is facing charges for careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
