Conservation officers in the Estevan area are asking for the public’s assistance with a couple of incidents this fall involving wildlife.

According to information on the Sasktip Facebook page, on Nov. 18, conservation officers were informed of a bull elk that was shot and left on private land at NE 16-2-1 W2, approximately 10 kilometres southwest of Glen Ewen. It is believed that the elk was shot during the night of Nov. 17 or early morning of Nov. 18. There was no elk season on at the time.

Officers collected some evidence, but require your help to solve this case.

Also, on Oct. 20, Estevan conservation officers investigated a bull moose that was shot and left in the RM of Cambria, approximately 13 kilometres southeast of Outram. The moose had been shot multiple times in the head and body. Only the rear quarters and one front quarter were taken while the rest was left to waste.

Officers believe the moose was shot on the weekend of Oct. 17 and 18.
