Man arrested for driving while impaired by drugs

Estevan Police arrested a 32-year-old man from Frobisher after he failed the roadside standard field sobriety test for drugs on Friday. A blood demand was made and samples were taken. He was suspended from driving for three days.

Estevan Police arrested a 32-year-old man from Frobisher after he failed the roadside standard field sobriety test for drugs on Friday. A blood demand was made and samples were taken. He was suspended from driving for three days.  The samples will be sent to a police lab for testing and charges for impaired driving are pending. He was released to a responsible person a short time later.

Police were also called to a disturbance at a downtown establishment. Upon arrival the incident had already settled and majority of the persons involved had left the business. No injuries were reported and no further calls came into EPS.

Police are investigating a mischief from a downtown establishment where a sign hanging in the business was damaged.  Police have the identity of the subject and will continue to investigate.

Police responded to a noise complaint on the south end of the city.  The owner was warned about the by-law.

On Oct. 2,  police received a report of a suspicious person in a south end trailer park. Members attended and were unable to locate anyone meeting the description.

Police were also called to a local liquor establishment to a report of two males remaining in a permitted premise after being asked to leave by staff. A 38-year-old Edmonton male was arrested for obstruction and remaining in a licensed premise after being asked to leave. The male was lodged in the detention center to be released on conditions in the morning when he is sober.
