McIsaac pleads guilty to theft over $5,000

Aleah McIsaac, a 36-year-old woman from Estevan, pleaded guilty to theft over $5,000 in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday. The charges stemmed from when McIsaac was involved with the Estevan Youth Soccer Association.

Aleah McIsaac, a 36-year-old woman from Estevan, pleaded guilty to theft over $5,000 in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday.

The charges stemmed from when McIsaac was involved with the Estevan Youth Soccer Association. The period of the offence was from Jan. 1, 2016, to Feb. 1, 2017.

A second charge of fraud exceeding $5,000 is expected to be stayed upon sentencing.

McIsaac’s lawyer, Jonathan Goby, asked for a pre-sentencing report. He also asked if electronic monitoring would be considered.

Her case has been adjourned until Oct. 29 for the pre-sentence report and sentencing.
