A motorist is facing several charges after an attempted traffic stop Saturday resulted in a flight from police.

The Estevan Police Service attempted a traffic stop in the downtown area. The driver, a 35-year-old man from Carievale, has been charged with flight from police, dangerous driving and driving while prohibited.

He was arrested later in the evening by the Estevan RCMP and is facing further charges with them, including impaired driving and driving while over .08. He was lodged in cells and will be remanded for court on Monday.

Police attended to a noisy party in the 1300-block of Second Street on two occasions. The homeowner was warned of the bylaw and the consequences should members have to attend again.

Members arrested and lodged a 24-year-old man from Estevan for public intoxication. He was lodged in cells until sober and is not facing charges at this time.

Officers arrested and lodged a 37-year-old woman for her safety, after a complaint in the Willow Park Greens area. She was under the influence of a narcotic.
