Police investigating after items stolen from second floor balcony

The Estevan Police Service is investigating after the latest in a rash of thefts in the city.

According to a post from the Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network issued early on Jan. 16, police received a call of a theft and trespassing incident from an apartment building in north Estevan.

A man crawled up onto a second story balcony and took some property that was out on the balcony. The EPS attended the area and could not locate anyone in the immediate area.

The man is believed to have been on the balcony twice on Jan. 16, once just after midnight and again at 2:45 a.m.

Police are hoping for public assistance in identifying a suspect. If anyone has information or experienced a similar theft, please call the EPS at 306-634-4767.

In other recent police news, members arrested a Bienfait male on outstanding warrants of arrest on Jan. 14. He was held in custody to appear in court the following day.

Officers arrested a male for breaching his conditional sentence order. He was in court on Jan. 15.

Police received a report of a motor vehicle collision on the 500-block of Second Street on Jan. 15. No injuries were reported and nothing needed to be towed away.  Police were able to assist with the exchange of information.
