Police issue driving suspension and tickets at check stops

Members of the Estevan Police Service conducted a high-visibility check stop Saturday night at multiple locations in the city.

Several traffic tickets were issued for various offences along with a 72-hour driving suspension as a result of a drug impaired driving investigation.

Also on Saturday, police received a report of fraudulent transactions on a personal bank account. The individual provided information to the police. The matter is still under investigation.

Officers received a number of criminal harassment reports related to multiple victims being harassed by one individual. The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of an intoxicated male sleeping at a table in a local restaurant. The male had left the restaurant prior to police arriving but was located a short time later.  A friend was contacted to pick him up.

Officers were called to a residential break and enter in progress in north Estevan on Thursday night. The suspect was arrested in the residence and was held in custody overnight. Charges are pending further investigation.
