RCMP releases more details into Wednesday's fatal collision

The Saskatchewan RCMP has released more details into the fatal collision that occurred on Highway 13 Wednesday morning. Emergency crews were called to a head-on collision two kilometres east of Kisbey between two pickup trucks.

The Saskatchewan RCMP has released more details into the fatal collision that occurred on Highway 13 Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a head-on collision two kilometres east of Kisbey between two pickup trucks. The adult male driver and lone occupant of one truck died in the collision, while the driver and lone occupant of the other truck was airlifted to hospital via STARS Air Ambulance.

The injured person has since been released.

No further details on the deceased or the injured person, such as name or place of residence, have been released.  

Cpl. Rob King with the RCMP said a cause of the collision won’t be known. Weather conditions were fine at the time of the accident, and it’s not known if there were any other contributing factors.

Highway 13 near Kisbey was closed for most of the day during the investigation into the collision. It reopened during the evening.
