Traffic stop leads to significant drug seizure and trafficking charge

The Estevan RCMP has made an arrest on a drug trafficking charge.

The RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 47 north of Estevan on Aug. 7. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 94 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $20,000.

A 47-year-old Estevan man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The man is set to appear in court Oct. 19.
