Two people charged in connection with an assault

The Estevan Police Service (EPS) has announced that two people have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault during the weekend. Police conducted an investigation into the assault.

The Estevan Police Service (EPS) has announced that two people have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault during the weekend.

Police conducted an investigation into the assault. Arrest warrants were executed for two individuals.

Kris Donald, 28, of Estevan has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault, possession of a weapon for a purpose of committing an offence, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation, all under the Criminal Code.

Kaitlyn Bender, 25, of Estevan has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation, all under the Criminal Code.

Police later obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence in relation to this incident. Patrol members along with the EPS K9 unit conducted the search.

Further information regarding the results of this search will be forthcoming.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Also on May 6, a 47-year-old Estevan man was arrested and charged with theft and trespassing at night. The charges resulted from an investigation where the subject attempted to steal a fish pond pump and filter from a yard. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on June 17.

Police received a report of a 35-year-old Estevan female who went missing from a central residence. She was soon located at a local restaurant and taken to hospital for assessment.
