Members of the Estevan Police Service have arrested two people in connection with possession of a stolen vehicle, as well as drug charges.

In a tweet issued early Saturday, the EPS says it received a call that a stolen vehicle was entering the city.

Members located the vehicle and the occupants, a 31-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested without incident.

Both were charged with possession of stolen property and possession of controlled substances. They will answer to the charge in October.

Police were called to a residence for a domestic in progress. Investigation into the matter resulted in a 38-year-old Estevan man being arrested for assault. He will be taken before a jutice of the peace to determine release conditions.

Members attended to a central Estevan residence Thursday on the report of a disturbance between two males. The issue between them was defused prior to police arrival and no further action was required.

The EPS received a complaint of a reckless driver in central Estevan. The driver was reported to be travelling at high speeds and disobeying stop signs. The motorist nearly struck another vehicle. The vehicle was located by police and the driver was charged accordingly under the Traffic Safety Act for driving without due care and attention.
