The Saskatchewan Health Authority, the Water Security Agency and the City of Estevan have lifted the emergency boil water order for most of the southern part of the City of Estevan.

The announcement was made Saturday afternoon. Residences and businesses south of the CP Rail tracks had been under the boil water order since Wednesday afternoon.

The main water break has been repaired and the water tests that were sent to a lab on Thursday and Friday have come back clear, proving water consumption is safe.

The city noted any households who have received a boiled water advisory letter are still under boiled water order at this time. These are the residences and businesses that were without water for about 24-hour period on Wednesday and Thursday. Additional tests from these areas will need to be taken Monday and Tuesday.
