The Estevan Humane Society presented the proceeds Friday from its annual Duck Derby.
The derby was held on Oct. 18, and for the first time, tickets for all 2,000 rubber ducks were sold, so the maximum grand prize of $10,000 was awarded.
Ceyanna Olson was the winner when her duck finished first; a Grade 10 student at the Estevan Comprehensive School, she said she would use the money for post-secondary education.
