*Flashback Friday at the Estevan Public Library at 4 p.m. is a joint venture between the library and the Souris Valley Museum.

 

Saturday, June 29:

*Alameda Fishing Derby at Alameda Dam is an all-day fundraiser for the Alameda Community Rink. A supper will be served at the rink following the derby.

*Estevan Farmers’ Market Sale at the Estevan Shopper’s Mall’s parking lot at 9 a.m. will have a variety of items for people to choose from.

*Happy Little Hooves Pony and Donkey Sanctuary open house at the site southwest of Estevan at 11 a.m.

*Chess Club at the Estevan Public Library at 1:30 p.m.

 

Monday, July 1:

*Canada Day celebrations in Bienfait take place throughout the day. Activities start at 8 a.m. A parade will start at 10 a.m., activities will happen throughout the day and fireworks occur at dusk.

*Oungre Memorial Regional Park Canada Day Celebration will begin at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and offer activities in the park, including live music, throughout the day.

*Kinsmen and Kinettes Canada Day celebrations at the Kin Playpark in the Hillside subdivision at 11 a.m. will offer games, swimming and a barbecue.

*Carnduff Canada Day celebration at 1 p.m. will have activities and live music for families to enjoy.  

 

Tuesday, July 2:

*4-H Achievement Days at the Estevan Exhibition Grounds will give an opportunity for local youths to showcase their cattle.

*TD Summer Reading Program at the Estevan Public Library kicks off. Kids can attend one of five sessions each week to kepe their minds sharp during the summer.

*Souris Valley Museum camps open with Little Time Travellers Camp, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday at 10 a.m., and Pioneer Day Camp which is Tuesday to Friday at 1 p.m.

*Estevan Playparks Opening Day will feature games and crafts in the morning and swimming in the afternoon at all four parks.

*Toddler Time at the Estevan Public Library at 10:15 a.m. is for children ages 18 months to three years.

*Kindergarten ready story time at the Estevan Public Library at 11 a.m. is for those ages four and five.

*Ranchers and Rustlers at the Souris Valley Theatre’s Frehlick Hall will have nightly performances at 7 p.m. through July 6. Also a 2 p.m. matinee on July 4.

 

Wednesday, July 3:

*Story time at the Estevan Public Library at 10:30 a.m. is for those ages two to six.

*Night swim at the Churchill Playpark at 5 p.m. is through the city’s playpark program.

*Grief workshop with Trina Battersby at the Estevan Public Library at 7 p.m.

 

Thursday, July 4:

*Tween Waterfall ornament at the Estevan Public Library at 4 p.m.

*Estevan Lions Club CNIB Charity Golf Classic tournament at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course at 11 a.m. is an important fundraiser for the CNIB.

*Teen cooking club picnic foods at the Estevan Public Library at 2 p.m. teaches people to make some popular seasonal dishes.

*Estevan Rotary Regional 4-H Show and Sale will have awards at 5:30 p.m. and cattle auctioned off at 6 p.m. Outram-Madigan, Benson, Browning and Crossroads clubs are participating.

*Stand up and Dance at the Estevan Public Library at 6:30 p.m. is a weekly class in July that will teach dances for special events.

 

Friday, July 5:

*Hoopla and Libby 101 at the Estevan Public Library at 3 p.m. teaches people to use these programs.
