Khizir Syed, Jordanna Coleman and Angel Gervais were the three finalists in the spelling bee at Westview School on Friday afternoon.
Thirteen students from Grades 5-8 competed.
Syed, a Grade 7 student, was the winner. Gervais, who is in Grade 8, was the runner-up, and Coleman, who is in Grade 7, finished third.
