A local youth was recognized for her personality and positive attitude during the Estevan Kinette Club’s Princess and Superhero Ball on Saturday afternoon at the Southeast College’s Estevan campus.

Klara Heath was named the Princess for a Day, to the delight of more than 100 people in attendance.

“Our winner this year is a kind little girl who loves her family and friends. She always has a smile on her face, and brings smiles and joy to others,” said Kasey McIntyre, the chairperson of the Kinette’s ball.

She is part of the Special Olympics Active Start program, plays Challenger Baseball and is a member of the Estevan Sparks. She loves Barbie dolls, like many other kids her age.

Klara was presented with a special princess sash, and with a number of other gifts to help make the occasion even more special.
