Kirsten Walliser files nomination form for Estevan city council

Another first-time candidate has filed nomination papers for Estevan city council in the upcoming civic election. Kirsten Walliser, who is a long-time resident of the community, submitted the necessary forms Friday at city hall.

Another first-time candidate has filed nomination papers for Estevan city council in the upcoming civic election.

Kirsten Walliser, who is a long-time resident of the community, submitted the necessary forms Friday at city hall. She joins incumbent councillors Shelly Veroba and Travis Frank, and first-time candidate Geoff Thiessen, among those to file papers for councillor in election, which will be held Nov. 9.

There are six councillor seats on Estevan city council.

Mayor Roy Ludwig previously filed his nomination forms for a third term as mayor. Eric McCrimmon has filed the forms to be an Estevan trustee on the South East Cornerstone Public School Division’s board.

Nomination forms are also being accepted at city hall to be the Estevan trustee on the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division board.

The deadline to file a nomination paper is Oct. 7.
