Veroba finished first in the councillor race in the 2016 election.

Also, Eric McCrimmon of Estevan has filed to be one of two Estevan trustees on the South East Cornerstone Public School Division’s board.

McCrimmon is seeking a spot for Estevan on the school board for the first time.

Earlier this week, Mayor Roy Ludwig filed the requisite forms for the mayor’s job, a role he has held since 2012.

The deadline to file a nomination paper is Oct. 7.

The civic election will be Nov. 9.
