United Way Estevan has announced that they have changed the date of the 2018 Telethon fundraiser. The new date is set for Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27.
The change was made when it was realized that Oct. 12 is not a school day for students in the South East Cornerstone School Division and Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division. The performances provided by the schools are an integral part of the telethon’s identity.
“We love the excitement that they bring. We realize that these students are our future volunteers, community leaders or United Way board members,” the United Way said in a press release.
The United Way looks forward to the communities’ support helping them reach their goal of $335,000.00. The theme is “It Takes U to be United!
