Pleasantdale School is working to have an outdoor classroom constructed on its grounds.
Grade 8 students Savannah Krupka and Amanda March, and response to intervention staff member Angela Smeltzer spoke at Monday night's meeting of Estevan city council. They explained what would be included in the outdoor learning area, why they want to see the project constructed, and how the area would be beneficial.
Smeltzer pointed out this will be a five-year project.
Estevan city council members posed questions to the trio, and were receptive to the idea. They gave the school the green light to proceed.
This week's edition of Southeast Lifestyles will have more on this story.
