The Estevan Rotary Club’s third annual golf ball drop was hosted at TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club on Saturday.

Participants purchased tickets, with each ticket having a corresponding ball. The golf balls were suspended over a specially designed hole, and released, with the first three golf balls in the hole receiving prizes of $5,000, $3,000, and $1,000 respectively.

All three of the winners from this year’s event were from the City of Weyburn. This year's winning numbers were 8639, 7633, and 7654.

Proceeds from the event are split evenly with the Weyburn Rotary Club, and are used to support a number of programs in the city. Those programs include STARS Air Ambulance, the St. Josephs Hospital Foundation, and tree planting throughout the community.

Next week’s Mercury will have more on the story.
