Mental health and addictions supports continue to be available

As the province gradually moves back into its regular routines and work lives it is important to remember that mental health and addiction supports continue to be available across the province.

As the province gradually moves back into its regular routines and work lives it is important to remember that mental health and addiction supports continue to be available across the province.  The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) says Mental Health and Addictions Services has remained a priority for care teams. Services were and are still available for clients seeking mental health and addiction services during COVID-19.

In the early days of COVID-19, the health authority created access for some programs by supporting established online programs or through virtual care. Inpatient mental health units for both adults and children/youth remained open.

The SHA said its mental health teams continue to be available to support you in transitioning to the province’s new normal. They are transitioning back to more of our regular services ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients and clients. This includes carefully increasing access to in-person appointments while also maintaining phone/virtually delivered care.

If you need assistance, please contact the mental health intake teams for more information and supports in your area.
