No new cases and no recoveries in Estevan’s zone

There are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily report from the Saskatchewan Health Authority. No recoveries were reported as well, and the number of COVID-19 cases in Zone 4 remains at one.

There are no new cases of COVID-19 in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily report from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

There are four new cases of COVID-19 to report in the South East region on June 23, two are located in South East Zone 1 to the north-west of the region, one is in South East Zone 2 north of Estevan’s Zone 4, and one is in Weyburn’s Zone 3.

There are 32 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 23, bringing the provincial total to 48,537 cases.

The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 2; North West, 2; North Central, 1; North East, 1; Saskatoon, 10; Central East, 3; and Regina, 8.

One new death is being reported today in the 70 to 79 age group from the North West zone.

Sixty-four more people have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 47,365. Nine of the new recoveries are from the South East region.

A total of 607 cases are considered active, including 30 from the South East.

There are 75 people in hospital.  Sixty-three are receiving inpatient care and 12 people are in intensive care. Nobody is in hospital with COVID-19 in the South East region.  

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 61. This is the lowest seven-day average since October of 2020. 

There were 1,807 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 22, with 97 in the South East.

An additional 18,423 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,023,698. Included in the total are 1,572 doses administered in the South East.

Eighty per cent of those over the age of 40+ have received their first dose.  Seventy-five per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose.  Seventy per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while sixty-nine per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
