The Carievale 4-H Beef Club was kept busy during the last couple of months of the year.

The organization held their November meeting on Nov. 4 at the Young Dale Angus Farm. Members handed in items to support the area’s food bank. Teams were discussed and formed for 4-H Team Grooming, being held in Regina at Canadian Western Agribition.

Mikyla and Damian Cliffe did a presentation to the club that was titled Judging. The members then judged three heifers and Mikyla reviewed the results with the members.

On Nov. 25, Jordan Cowan, Andee Cowan, Bella Buchanan, Billie Cowan, Ryan Cowan, Kade Taylor, Dane Taylor, Ben Buchanan and Vanessa Cowan participated in the 4-H Team Grooming Event at Canadian Western Agribition in Regina. It proved to be a fun time for all of the members.

The next meeting was held Dec. 9. Group member pictures were taken. Numbers were drawn to determine sale order and speech order.

Denise Bigney-Allum did a presentation titled Clean Water and Feed. Members participated by weighing feed in cups and competing in the soda cracker challenge.

Animals were weighed on Jan. 4 at the Young Dale Angus Farm, and each member presented their speech at the regular meeting Jan. 13.
