Carievale 4-H Club resumes meetings

The Carievale 4-H Beef Club has started holding monthly meetings. Kamryn Gilliland called the Sept. 14 meeting to order and the pledge was recited. The financial report was given, and motion was made to pay the bills.

The financial report was given, and motion was made to pay the bills. Old business was reviewed and discussed.            

Members were made aware of registration fees, COVID-19 rules, waivers, and reviewed the constitution. They held an election for spots on the board.

Kamryn Gilliland was elected president. Other executive members are Karissa Elliott (vice-president), Kenzie White (secretary), Dane Taylor (treasurer), Marisol Gilliland (club reporter), and Teresa Cowan (general leader).

The district meeting hosted by Redvers Wrangles was discussed.

The next meeting was held Oct. 5.

Members discussed the district meeting on Oct. 21 at Redvers and two members and two leaders attended. A bottle drive was on Oct. 3 with all members attending. Also discussed were National 4-H day, the 4-H sustainability initiative, the theme of 4-H food and you. And they talked about what do they bring for the food bank; do they do a food drive or bring food from each family.

A discussion was made about you, your animal, and digestion, with an example.

The next meeting will be Nov. 9.
