The Government of Saskatchewan has issued an advisory about the risk of COVID-19 in the Estevan area.

In a Facebook post, the government said there is an elevated risk of COVID-19 in Estevan due to variants of concern.

The government asks the public to take the necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe.

“Remember: if you have any symptoms, stay home and arrange for a COVID-19 test. If anyone in your home has symptoms, the entire household should remain home until the test results are known.”

The government also encourages people to reduce activities outside of the house, order take-out or curbside pickup meals, work from home if possible, and for Estevan and area residents to remain with their current household only.

The government also urges people to avoid unnecessary travel to and from Estevan.
