NDP and Liberals announce candidates for Souris-Moose Mountain

The Liberals and the New Democratic Party have found their candidates for the upcoming federal election. The New Democrats have selected Ashlee Hicks. Hicks is a member of the Cowessess First Nation.

The Liberals and the New Democratic Party have found their candidates for the upcoming federal election.

The New Democrats have selected Ashlee Hicks. Hicks is a member of the Cowessess First Nation. She is a former resident of Broadview who now resides in Saskatoon with her family.

Hicks previously ran for the NDP in the 2016 provincial election in the Moosomin constituency. She finished second behind Steven Bonk.

As for the Liberals, they have announced that Javin Ames-Sinclair, who resides in the Regina area, will be their Liberal candidate. No further details on Ames-Sinclair were immediately available.

They join a field that already includes Robert Kitchen of the Conservative Party, Judy Merger of the Green Party, Travis Patron of the Canadian Nationalist Party and Phil Zajac of the People’s Party of Canada.

The federal election will be Oct. 21.
