The warning was issued for the RM of Souris Valley, including Oungre, RM of Cymri, including Midale and Macoun, and the RM of Cambria including Outram and Torquay.

The severe thunderstorm watch is still in place for the RM of Estevan including Estevan and Hitchcock, as well as for Weyburn, Radville and Milestone.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rains.

A trough of low pressure tracking across southern Saskatchewan is triggering scattered thunderstorms this evening. Some of these thunderstorms are likely to reach a severe threshold.

The public is recommended to keep monitoring the situation and take action if a warning is issued.

Occasional thunderstorms are expected to end by 9:30 p.m.
