Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Estevan area.
The advisory states that a wintery mix of precipitation is expected for southeast Saskatchewan beginning early Friday morning, and lasting through Saturday evening.
A Colorado low will cross the northern plains starting early Friday, bringing periods of light snow and freezing drizzle to the southeast. There will be the potential for prolonged periods of freezing drizzle, leading to icy conditions on sidewalks and roadways, though the exact timing and duration remain uncertain at this time.
This mix of precipitation will continue through late Saturday before moving out of the area.
