Tornado warning was issued for southeast communities

Environment Canada has cancelled the tornado warning for a couple of rural municipalities in southeast Saskatchewan. The warning, issued at 4:01 p.m., covered the rural municipalities of Coalfields and Enniskillen.

The warning, issued at 4:01 p.m., covered the rural municipalities of Coalfields and Enniskillen. Frobisher, Oxbow, Northgate and Glen Ewen are among the communiites covered by the warning. 

The warning was lifted just after 5 p.m. 

The agency said extra care and attention should have also been exercised in Stoughton, Arcola, Lampman, Bienfait, North Portal, Alameda and other areas.

A severe thunderstorm watch is still in effect in the southeast region.
