It’s less than a month until the official start of summer, but Environment Canada had to issue a frost advisory for the Estevan area and the rest of the province.

According to the advisory, clear or clearing skies as a ridge of high pressure builds over the area will result in temperatures dropping to or just below the zero mark overnight, resulting in frost for parts of Saskatchewan.

The forecast calls for the temperature to dip down to -1 C overnight, and then warm up to 19 C tomorrow as more seasonal temperatures settle in.

Frost could damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

People are asked to cover up plants.

The advisory was lifted early Monday morning.
