Update: severe thunderstorm watch lifted

It might be the middle of September, but that doesn’t mean the summer storm season is over for the Estevan area.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Estevan area for Tuesday night. According to an advisory, conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and large hail.

A strong thunderstorm rolled through the region on Tuesday night.

The advisory was lifted early on Wednesday.
