Update: severe thunderstorm watch lifted

The first severe thunderstorm watch of the year for Estevan has been lifted.

Environment Canada issued the watch at 5:25 p.m. Sunday for Estevan and other communities in the south. The watch ended at 12:23 a.m. Monday.

The advisory stated that conditions were favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.
