Updated: Businesses, services and events in the Estevan area affected by COVID-19

Here are businesses and other organizations affected:

 

Retail:

  • Jenny Joans: Store is closed to public; shop online with free delivery in Estevan
  • A&A Jewellery: Closed
  • Frank's and Frankie's: Closed
  • Blunt Expressions: Closed with a free contactless delivery option;
  • House of Clouds Vaping Lounge: Reduced hours to noon-4 p.m., Monday to Friday. Delivery is also available.
  • Canadian Tire: Reduced hours
  • Estevan Shoppers Mall: Reduced hours. Mark's Work Wearhouse, The Source, Ardene, Eclipse, SportChek and Wearhouse One are closed; see Estevan Shoppers Mall Facebook page for further information
  • Estevan Salvation Army: Thrift Store is closed; family services and food bank are open to the public
  • Audio Video Unlimited: Closed to the public
  • Room by Room Furniture: Closed to the public
  • Thunder City Power and Leisure: Closed
  • Clifton's No Frills: Reduced hours; closed at 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. Open at 8 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for seniors amd people with disabilities to do their shopping.
  • Walmart: Reduced hours: Monday-Sunday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Open at 7 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for seniors and those who are most vulnerable.
  • Art Concepts Custom Framing: Closed

 

Restaurants:

  • The Flats: Dining room closed to the public; only open 4-9, takeout and delivery only
  • Black Beards and The Beef Bar: Closed
  • The Black Grasshopper: Closed
  • Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual: Closed
  • Tower Café and 1124 Social House: Dining rooms is closed; take out, delivery and curb side delivery open.
  • Original Joe's: Dining room is closed but take-out and delivery are available.
  • Fired Up Grill: Dining room is closed; take out and delivery available
  • Boston Pizza: Closed to dining in; take out and delivery available
  • EB's Dining and Estevan Bowl: Closed
  • Trifon's Pizza: Dining Room closed; open for takeout and delivery
  • Jino’s Asian Delight: Closed
  • Eddie Webster’s is open for pickup, curbside pickup and free delivery.
  • Estevan Pizza & Chinese Cuisine: Dining room closed to public, take out and delivery available
  • McDonalds: Closed for dine-in; take out and drive through open.
  • Dairy Queen and Orange Julius: Closed for dine in; take out and drive through open
  • A&W: Only drive-thru is open. Walk-thrus and truck drivers welcome. Check business hours on Google. 
  • KFC: Open for drive thru, pick up and delivery.

Professional services:

  • Hub International - Closed to foot traffic.
  • H&R Block: Open Monday to Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Envision Counselling and Support Centre: Counselling has shifted to a phone-based delivery.
  • Prairie Sky Kitchens and B&S Construction: Closed
  • Thunder City Power and Leisure: Closed
  • Fifth Street Autobody: Closed to foot traffic; still fixing vehicles by appointment only
  • Ideal Autobody: No foot traffic. Still repairing vehicles by calling ahead. 
  • Save the Stress Cleaning Services: Closed for residential services in and around Estevan. 
  • GMB South Sask Exterminator and Pest Control: Reduced hours, 8 a.m. to noon; after hours by appointment only.
  • Mr. G's Lock & Key: Reduced hours, open 8 a.m. to noon, available by phone appointment.

 

Health and beauty servies:

  • Sun Country Hearing: Closed until March 30. If the provincial state of emergency is in effect on March 30, then the business will remain closed until the state of emergency is lifted.
  • South East Eye Care's office is closed and an optometrist is available by phone for emergency appointments only.
  • Exhale Massage Clinic & Day Spa: Closed to the public with delivery/online service available.
  • Cut's Unlimited: Closed
  • Empire Salon: Closed to the public
  • Mack’s Reflections: Closed to public
  • Innovations Hair Studio: Closed to the public
  • Platinum Hair Design: Closed to public
  • Chez Perih: Closed
  • Diamond Skin Solutions: Clinic is closed; store is open for product sales; delivery is available. 
  • Blown Away Hair Studio: Closed
  • Estevan Laser Health Clinic: Closed. Will deliver Young Living products as well as skin care products.
  • All fitness centres and gyms are closed to public.

 

Church services:

  • Estevan Alliance Church worship gatherings and regularly scheduled ministry programming has been cancelled.
  • St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church Sunday masses are cancelled.
  • St. Paul's United Church Sunday Service has been cancelled. 
  • Trinity Lutheran Church all public worship services are cancelled and any use of the building has been suspended. Church office will still be open for phone calls and emails.
  • Living Hope Community Church is cosed to the public, Sunday service is only available online.

 

Other services:

The City of Estevan has announced the closure of the Estevan Leisure Centre and non-essential buildings and services. Among the amenities closed because of the shutdown of the leisure centre are Affinity Place, the Power Dodge Ice Centre, the Estevan Public Library the RM of Estevan Aquatic Centre, the Estevan Arts Council office and craft room, the 60-and-Over Club and the Nicholson Centre.

The Estevan Police Service has asked that people avoid visiting their building.

The RM of Estevan's building is also closed to the public. Other municipal offices throughout the southeast are also closed. 

Classes for all Estevan public and separate schools are suspended indefinitely. All public access to the Southeast College's campuses, including the one in Estevan, will be suspended at 5 p.m. on March 19. 

The Canada-U.S. border closed to non-essential traffic at 11:59 p.m. Friday.

Visitors to long-term care homes, hospitals, personal care homes and group homes are restricted to essential visitors only, which means immediate family visiting during compassionate reasons. Creighton Lodge is on lockdown. 

The Orpheum Theatre in Estevan is closed to the public.

The Estevan branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and its club room are closed to the public. The Estevan Elks Lodge and lounge are also closed.

The Souris Valley Museum is closed to the public.

SARCAN Recycling has announced that it is closing its Estevan location and other facilities across the province.

 

Events:

The following events have been postponed or cancelled:

  • The B&T Estevan Gun Show, to happen March 21-22 at the Wylie Mitchell Building, has been cancelled.
  • The South East Cornerstone Public School Division’s monthly meeting March 25 in Weyburn has been cancelled.
  • The 64-rink bonspiel in Alameda, set to begin March 26, has been cancelled.
  • The Duelling Pianos fundraiser for Creighton Lodge, scheduled for March 27 at the Wylie-Mitchell Building, has been postponed.
  • The annual Estevan Farmers’ Appreciation Evening, slated for March 31 at the Beefeater Plaza, has been postponed to November.
  • Spring city-wide registration March 31 at the Estevan Leisure Centre has been cancelled.  
  • The Estevan Wildlife Federation’s annual fundraising dinner and auction April 3 at the Wylie-Mitchell building has been postponed.
  • The Estevan Strippers annual spring bust hockey tournament, slated for April 1-5, has been cancelled.
  • Battle of the Barn hockey tournament in Bienfait from April 9-12 has been cancelled.
  • The Women of Today Awards, scheduled for April 22, has been postponed.
  • The Redvers and District Oil show, scheduled for May 27 and 28, has been cancelled.
