Cheers and Jeers for Dec. 13

Cheers to the members of the Southeast Chorus and the Northwest Chorus for their performances of the Celebration of Christmas music. It was once again a delightful evening for the whole family. Cheers to those involved with the Sensory Santa.

Cheers to the members of the Southeast Chorus and the Northwest Chorus for their performances of the Celebration of Christmas music. It was once again a delightful evening for the whole family.

Cheers to those involved with the Sensory Santa. It provided a more conducive and easier way for children to meet Santa Claus.

Cheers to the organizers of the Dickens Village Festival for hosting such a fun and unique event to give us all a little bit of Christmas spirit.

Cheers to all of the toy drives that we have seen in the community in the last few weeks, collecting toys for the Angel Tree program and boosting kids’ spirits on Christmas Day.

Cheers to the Estevan Police Association for holding the youth nights. Hopefully these are now here to stay, because kids really enjoy them.

Jeers to motorists who don’t yield the right of way to pedestrians who are already well into the intersection. Do the right thing: stop and wait until the pedestrians are clear.

Jeers to the semi drivers who have been driving through town. We know that some have to make deliveries, but a lot have been averting the truck route for no good reason.

Jeers to people who are illegally using handicapped stalls in parking lots or on streets, especially now that the temperatures are colder and the roads and sidewalks are icier.

Jeers to the people who take a Bah! Humbug! attitude towards Christmas. It’s a wonderful time of year and it brings out the best in most of us.
