Cheers and Jeers for Dec. 14

Cheers to Shelly Veroba, Judy Pratt and everyone else at Creighton Lodge for the great work they did in hosting the Christmas party last week. Cheers to Lampman postmaster Tracy McTaggart for her Christmas display at the town’s post office.

Cheers to Shelly Veroba, Judy Pratt and everyone else at Creighton Lodge for the great work they did in hosting the Christmas party last week.

Cheers to Lampman postmaster Tracy McTaggart for her Christmas display at the town’s post office.

Cheers to the Estevan Curling Club, and to Helen Fornwald, Devon Fornwald , Tyler McMillen and their committees for hosting the Home Hardware Canada Cup. What a great event to have in our city. Hopefully we will see more events like this in the future.

Cheers to the two men in a maroon-coloured truck that came to a woman’s rescue when she fell on the ice while bringing in a recycle bin on a Monday afternoon.

Cheers to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins. Their community involvement is second to none. They are an inspiration to the young children.

Jeers to the attendance at the Home Hardware Canada Cup. Estevan had 15 of the best Canadian curling teams in town and they couldn't fill the seats. People missed out on some great curling.

Jeers to not removing the glass partitions around the penalty box and player’s entrance at Affinity Place for major events. The solution would be to install a tarp over the area that would be exposed.

Jeers to the person or people who took two small ornaments off the silent auction table that the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Auxiliary had at their Christmas tea and bake sale last week.

Jeers to residents who continue to park vehicles, trailers and utility vehicles on their front lawns.
