Cheers and Jeers for Dec. 28

Cheers to all of the participants in the Woodlawn Regional Park’s Festival of Lights. The displays are great and they provided a boost of Christmas spirit. Cheers to the organizers of the truck convoy that rolled through Estevan on Saturday.

Cheers to all of the participants in the Woodlawn Regional Park’s Festival of Lights. The displays are great and they provided a boost of Christmas spirit.

Cheers to the organizers of the truck convoy that rolled through Estevan on Saturday. Please keep standing up for the energy sector.

Cheers to everybody who backed the Community Hamper Association, and ensured that people had a good meal on Christmas day.

Cheers to the City of Estevan for organizing the Bright Lights, Fun Night at Affinity Place. It was a fun night for families.

Cheers to all of the local schools for the entertaining Christmas assemblies before Christmas. You can tell the kids had a lot of fun.

Jeers to whoever called in a noise complaint to the Estevan Police Service when St. Giles Anglican Church was playing Christmas bell music last Friday.

Jeers to those who complained about the trucks rolling through Estevan during the convoy, or about the sound of the horns being so loud. These people were standing up for our community.

Jeers to people who insisted on doing the bulk of, or all of, their Christmas shopping out of town. Our retailers need us, especially now.

Jeers to those who say there was nothing to do in Estevan. There was a lot happening in the community in the weeks before Christmas.

Jeers to those who insisted on occupying two stalls in parking lots this past weekend, when so many people were out trying to finish their Christmas shopping.
