Cheers and Jeers for Dec. 7

Cheers to everyone who was involved with the Footloose musical at the Estevan Comprehensive School. On a scale of 1-10, it was definitely a 10. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers to the supporters for the St.

Cheers to everyone who was involved with the Footloose musical at the Estevan Comprehensive School. On a scale of 1-10, it was definitely a 10. Looking forward to the next one.

Cheers to the supporters for the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees. The money makes a big difference for health care in the community.

Cheers to SaskPower crews who worked late on Tuesday to restore power to rural communities that were without electricity.

Cheers to the ice-makers who put in extra time to ensure the curling ice at Affinity Place would be ready for the Home Hardware Canada Cup.

Cheers to Mike Hennink for coming to Estevan to pay tribute to the first responders in our community.

Jeers to the proposed rate increases for the city’s landfill. Are we going to see more garbage in the ditches near the landfill because of this?

Jeers to those who are bragging incessantly about finishing their Christmas shopping.

Jeers to the people who insist on doing their Christmas shopping out of town, or through online sites, rather than spending their money locally.

Jeers to the person who struck the side of the Saskatchewan Government liquor store on the weekend. How does one hit a building so hard that it causes that much damage?

Jeers to the people who have been driving too quickly with the icy conditions in Estevan. Slow down, and you might not fishtail, spin or slide through the intersection.
