Cheers and Jeers for January 25

Cheers to the gentleman who bought coffee for a group of ladies in the corner booth at the Tower Café on Jan 16. That kindness is appreciated.

Cheers to the gentleman who bought coffee for a group of ladies in the corner booth at the Tower Café on Jan 16. That kindness is appreciated.

Cheers to the citizens who have filled out or plan to fill out the Saskatchewan Public Library Engagement Survey online before Jan. 25.

Cheers to the organizers of the Estevan Kinettes Club’s Princess and Superhero Ball last week. It was a great time for the kids.

Cheers to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins for the nice tributes to Bert Pierson during last Saturday’s game. He left an impact on a lot of people.

Cheers to the Estevan Sharks for hosting a water polo tournament on the weekend, and giving local athletes a chance to perform at home.

Jeers to telemarketers who bombard local businesses with phone calls throughout the day. Don’t they realize people are trying to run a business?

Jeers to the motorists who were speeding and driving recklessly on the roads on Jan. 19 with all the blowing snow in the Estevan area.

Jeers to people who park too close to other vehicles. It’s particularly aggravating if you’re driving a small car, and you’re forced to try to see around a pickup truck.

Jeers to motorists who insist on stopping in the middle of the street to talk to somebody, and don’t get out of the way of an approaching vehicle.

Jeers to motorists who speed in school zones, especially now that the roads are icier than they were a few weeks ago.
