Cheers: Cheers to Southeast Lifestyles for publishing the Flashback photo each week. It’s great to see these photos from Estevan’s past.

Cheers to captain Preston Erickson and the Bienfait Coalers, for their involvement with the minor hockey players in Bienfait. The time they spend with these young children before games means so much to the kids and is very appreciated by the parents.

Cheers to the Estevan Snowmobile Club for not only have a poker derby on the weekend, but for raising money for the Prairie Women on Snowmobiles and their fight against cancer.

Cheers to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins for having a skills competition for the first time this year. Now we know who is the fastest skater and who has the hardest shot.

Cheers to 4H for giving young people a chance to work on their public speaking skills. It’s scary for a lot of people, but it’s a valuable skill to learn.

Jeers:

Jeers to tailgaters who decide they need to follow far too closely behind other vehicles. It creates a dangerous situation for people on the road, especially when it’s icy outside.

Jeers to drivers who pass on the highway when it isn’t safe, such as when there is a solid yellow line, or when traffic is coming from the other direction.

Jeers to those who feel the need to park diagonally, and have to take up multiple parking stalls, making it harder for everyone else.

Jeers to people who leave their cooking unattended on a stove. It’s dangerous, it’s a fire risk, and it’s particularly troublesome for those who live in multi-family buildings.
