Cheers and Jeers for Nov. 23

Cheers to newspaper carriers for both the Mercury and Southeast Lifestyles who ensure the papers are always on time, and neatly placed in the mailbox. Cheers to the Estevan Kinettes Club for hosting another outstanding craft carnival on the weekend.

Cheers to newspaper carriers for both the Mercury and Southeast Lifestyles who ensure the papers are always on time, and neatly placed in the mailbox.

Cheers to the Estevan Kinettes Club for hosting another outstanding craft carnival on the weekend. There is always lots to choose from at the event.

Cheers to all of the outstanding young athletes who were recognized at the Estevan Minor Box Lacrosse Association’s awards on the weekend.

Cheers to the City of Estevan for continuing to bring concerts to the community, and hopefully this entertainment will keep being part of Affinity Place.

Cheers to all of those who will resist the allure of Black Friday shopping in the U.S., and opt to do their Christmas shopping locally this year.

Jeers to the drivers who don’t have their headlights and tail lights on while driving once it’s dark. There’s no excuse for not having them on.

Jeers to a motorist who blew through the intersection of Fourth Street and Ninth Avenue on Monday night. Didn’t even make an effort to stop.

Jeers to motorist who insist on taking up two stalls in parking lots. Now that Christmas shopping season is here, the malls will be busier, so people will need those parking stalls.

Jeers to people who park in spots reserved for handicapped people. You might think you’ll only be using it for a couple of minutes, but it affects those who might need them.

Jeers to people who need to make comments about others through social media, rather than having the guts to say those things to someone’s face.
